Prima-Match the Floor Vent Covers and Register, Cast Aluminum, size 4″x 10”, to match the existing surrounding floor surface. Paste your matching floor cut piece inside the vent cover and drop it into the duct opening. A drop-in design for a seamless and matching look with existing flooring surfaces. The vent covers are compatible with various flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, carpet, vinyl, ceramic, and marble if the material is up to 19 mm thick. Material: Made of cast aluminum, rust-free, recyclable, and pet-friendly, making it suitable for homes with pets. Listed product sizes refer to the inside duct opening measurements and the outer dimensions of the cover faceplate, size 5.5″×11.5″ (Approximate) which, in most cases, are 1″ or longer on each side/direction. Only the metal faceplate sits above the subfloor level. The face plate is tapered from all four sides and almost flushes with the floor level.
Metal Dampers: Come with a pre-attached detachable steel damper at the back to control airflow. Dampers can be removed if required. The metal damper controls the airflow direction airflow as per your needs; a low-height damper control rubber knob is attached to the damper minimizing the risk of tripping.
Wall/Ceiling: Floor registers can be installed on side walls and ceilings. We provide pre-drilled countersunk holes and matching screws to fix on ceilings and side walls; select no holes or with holes as an option while placing an order.
For Wall Applications (if applicable):
Use wall mounting clips (sold separately in a set of 4 clips) to transform floor registers into sidewall vents. Attach the wall mounting clips to the damper at the backside of the vent cover. If installed on a wall, carefully insert the vent cover into the duct opening. Do not use for ceiling. Use a 12 mm Drywall insert and a 4 mm MDF spacer in the rectangle frame. Paint it or wallpaper it. To match the surrounding walls.
Finishes: The floor register comes in various finishes to match any décor. It can be repainted using metal spray paint to match specific color preferences. The baked-on powder coat with a fine-grain matte finish provides extra protection that lasts a long time. Available in various finishes to match different decors.
Installation Instructions
Prepare the Flooring Cut Piece: Use a jigsaw or table saw to cut out a piece of your existing flooring material that fits inside the rectangular frame. Place the rectangle frame or MDF template on the flooring material and mark the size to cut. Carefully cut along the drawn lines to create the flooring cut piece.
Fit the Cut Piece into the Frame: Insert the cut piece into the rectangle frame, ensuring it matches the size and shape of the frame. and should cover any uneven edges. Check the thickness; it should not exceed 19 mm. If thinner, use spacers to flush it with the frame. Drop the floor vent cover into the duct opening. Ensure it is securely in place and looks even and well-aligned with the surrounding flooring.
Attach Flooring Cut Piece to the Base Frame:
Remove the protective film layer from the double-sided tape on the base frame. Place the flooring cut piece insert covered with the rectangle frame on the tape, maintaining an equal gap on all four sides of the frame to ensure it is centered. Gently press to secure the flooring cut piece to the base frame, ensuring it sticks properly. Drop the matched floor vent cover into the duct opening. Ensure it is securely in place and looks even and well-aligned with the surrounding flooring.
