Floor Register: The faceplate sits 7 mm above the floor level. It comes with pre-attached steel dampers at the back to adjust airflow. Damper can be removed if required. This VR100 model has beveled edges that can be blended with any floor as a drop-in register mount.

Materials and Finishes: Made of cast aluminum, these floor registers are rust-free. They come with a baked-on powder coat fine grain matte finish that provides extra protection and can be repainted using metal spray paint to match any decor. It comes in Cast Iron, also.

No tools are required; floor registers can be installed on walls and ceiling. We provide counter sunk holes and matching screws; select holes or no holes as an option while placing an order. What exact size does the 212FRCA fit?
The 212FRCA fits a 2" × 12" nominal duct opening. Its outer faceplate measures 4" × 13½", so allow ~1" extra around the duct opening for the faceplate.
What is it made of and what finishes are available?
Made of rust-free cast aluminium with a baked-on, fine-grain powder-coat matte finish. Available finishes: Black, Brown, White. It is repaintable with metal spray paint to match décor. A cast-iron version is offered for heavy-traffic floors.
Does it include a damper and how do I remove or adjust it?
Yes — it ships with a pre-attached
steel damper at the back.
- To adjust: open the faceplate and move the damper lever.
- To remove: unscrew the small retaining screw on the damper hinge and slide it out (keep screws for re-installation).
How do I measure to make sure this will fit my vent? (Quick 3-step)
- Remove the old grille (if present).
- Measure the inside duct opening edge-to-edge (this must be 2" × 12").
- Confirm there’s ~1" clearance each side for the faceplate (4" × 13½" outer size). Use our “How to Measure” guide if unsure.
How do I install the 212FRCA? (3–4 minute install)

With Holes: align the faceplate, insert countersunk screws and tighten.

No Holes: simply drop-in (beveled drop-in mount).

Wall Clips: fit clips to the opening and snap the register in place.

Will it block airflow or affect HVAC performance?
When you use the correct nominal size (2"×12") and avoid blocking the grille, it will not noticeably reduce airflow. Closing the damper reduces airflow by design.
Can I place furniture or rugs over the register?
Avoid placing heavy furniture legs directly on the register — this may deform the faceplate or restrict airflow. Thin rugs covering the grille will reduce airflow and are not recommended.
How high does the faceplate sit above the floor?
The faceplate sits approximately 7 mm above the floor (plate thickness is 5 mm). The slim profile fits beneath most furniture.
How do I clean and repaint it?

Routine: brush or vacuum dust; wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap for grime.

Repainting: lightly sand, clean, then use a metal-specific spray paint. Allow proper curing time as per paint instructions.
What if my opening is slightly different from 2"×12"?
If your duct measures different, choose the matching nominal size or order a custom size. Do not force a register into an undersized opening — it can damage the floor or register.
Why is my register rattling and how do I fix it?
Common causes: loose mounting screws, loose damper, or vibration from ductwork. Tighten screws, secure/replace the damper screw, and ensure the register is seated correctly. If noise persists, call support with your SKU (212FRCA).
