Return & Warranty Policy
Product Inspection & Damage Claims
At Prima Decorative Hardware, we take great care to ensure that all products are thoroughly inspected and securely packaged before shipment. Our goal is to deliver products in perfect condition.
Upon receiving your order, customers must open the package and inspect the products immediately for any visible damage, scratches, dents, or defects that may have occurred during shipping or handling.
If any damage or defect is discovered, the customer must notify Prima Decorative Hardware within three (3) days of delivery. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted.
To submit a claim, please provide the following information:
- Order number
- Date of delivery
- Clear photos showing the damage or defect
- A brief description of the issue
Failure to report damages within the required timeframe may result in the claim being denied.
Limited Product Warranty
Prima Decorative Hardware stands behind the quality, craftsmanship, and durability of every product we manufacture and sell. Our decorative hardware is produced using premium materials and advanced finishing techniques to ensure reliable performance under normal residential use.
All Prima Decorative Hardware products are covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase.
- Finish Warranty: One (1) Year
- Mechanical Warranty: Three (3) Years
An extended warranty may be purchased at the time of purchase for an additional 20% of the product price per year.
What This Warranty Covers
This limited warranty applies to:
- Manufacturing defects in materials such as cast aluminum, stainless steel, brass, cast iron, or other structural materials
- Defects in workmanship that affect the normal operation or structural integrity of the product
- Factory-applied finish defects present at the time of delivery
If a product is determined to have a valid manufacturing defect during the warranty period, Prima Decorative Hardware may, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product with the same or a comparable product.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover damages or conditions resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Improper installation or incorrect use of the product
- Misuse, abuse, or accidental damage
- Scratches, dents, or finish damage occurring after delivery
- Exposure to harsh chemicals, corrosive cleaners, or environmental conditions
- Modifications or alterations made to the product after purchase
This warranty also does not cover shipping charges, labor costs, installation costs, or any expenses related to the removal or reinstallation of the product.
Prima Decorative Hardware shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or installation of its products.
Warranty Claims
To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Clear photographs of the issue
- A written description of the defect or problem
Claims may be reviewed to determine whether the issue qualifies under the terms of this limited warranty.
Care & Cleaning Guidelines
Prima Decorative Hardware uses advanced finishing technologies designed to provide durability and resistance to environmental conditions. Over time, finishes may naturally change due to normal use and exposure to the elements.
Such changes are considered normal aging and are not considered manufacturing defects.
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your hardware, we recommend the following care guidelines:
Recommended Cleaning
- Clean with mild soap and warm water
- Dry immediately with a soft, clean cloth
Cleaning Products to Avoid
Do not use:
- Abrasive sponges or scouring pads
- Solvents or strong chemical cleaners
- Acidic cleaning products
- Vinegar or products containing acetic acid
- Lime scale removers or harsh household cleaners
Proper care and maintenance will help preserve the finish and functionality of your hardware.
