Designed for heating and cooling airflow, this decorative HVAC register combines strong cast-iron construction with a classic Tudor Mushroom pattern that complements vintage, traditional, and transitional interiors. Indoor use. Best For: Heavy-traffic floor areas and decorative HVAC upgrades. This register fits a standard 4" x 14" duct opening and includes an attached, removable steel damper for smooth airflow adjustment. The damper is slightly shorter than the duct opening, making the register easier to install. The outer faceplate measures 5-1/2″ x 15-1/2″ and is 5 mm thick, providing extra coverage around the vent opening for a clean finished look. Wall & Ceiling Installation
- For wall or ceiling installation, select the "For Floors (No Holes)" option For Wall & Celling (With Holes), or choose wall-mounting clips for wall installations.
- Wall-mounting clips are also available for wall installations.

- The attached steel damper is detachable and allows airflow control.
- The VR100 ships with an attached steel damper that can be adjusted from fully open to fully closed.

How to Install This Cast Iron 4" x 14" Floor Register?
The cast iron floor registers (4" x 14") are very easy to install. The previously installed Floor Register must be removed, and then the new Floor Register (5-1/2″ x 15-1/2″) must be just dropped into the vent. There wouldn’t be a need for any tools. This can be done by any homeowner without a problem.
What are Standard Cast Iron Floor Register Sizes?
Standard Register sizes can be anywhere from 2" x10 " up to 18" x 18". The most common sizes are 4" x 10", 4" x 12", 6" x 10", and 6" x 12". Our 8” x 14” Cast Iron Floor Register also fits most standard-size air duct openings.
Does this model include a damper and can it be removed?
Yes -the VR100 ships with pre-attached steel dampers at the back. Dampers are adjustable to control airflow and can be removed easily if required.
How high does the faceplate sit above the floor and will it fit under furniture?
The faceplate sits approximately 7 mm above the floor (plate thickness is 5 mm). It’s low-profile and fits under most furniture; avoid placing heavy sofa legs directly on it to prevent airflow restriction or damage.
How do I measure my vent to ensure the 4″ × 14″ model will fit?
Measure the inside of the duct opening (edge-to-edge) -that’s the nominal size (5-1/2″ x 15-1/2″). Note: faceplate outer dimensions are roughly 1″ larger per side. Use our “How to Measure” guide if unsure.
