The VR102 Modern & Contemporary Floor Register is designed for clean style and dependable airflow control for heating and cooling systems. Made from solid cast aluminum with a durable black powder-coated finish, this decorative HVAC register is built for long-lasting indoor use. It fits a standard 4" x 10" duct opening and includes an attached, removable steel damper for smooth airflow adjustment.
The 6" x 12" faceplate is 5mm thick, giving extra coverage around the vent opening for a neat finished look. Smooth beveled edges sit nicely on wood, tile, carpet, vinyl, and other flooring surfaces. Primarily designed for floor use, with optional wall or ceiling installation.

Floor Installation (No Tools Required)
- For drop-in installation, place it directly over the duct opening - no tools required.
- The 4" x 10" duct opening fits a 5 mm thick, 6" x 12" faceplate, providing extra coverage.
Wall & Ceiling Installation
- For wall or ceiling installation, select the "For Floors (No Holes)" option For Wall & Celling (With Holes), or choose wall-mounting clips for wall installations.
- Wall-mounting clips are also available for wall installations.
Damper Features & Airflow Control
- The attached steel damper is detachable and allows airflow control.
- The VR102 ships with an attached steel damper that can be adjusted from fully open to fully closed.

This is the VR102 -nominal duct opening 4″ × 10″. The outer faceplate measures 6″ × 12″, so it fits standard 4″×10″ ducts for floors, walls, and ceilings (indoor use).
What material and finishes does the 410FRCA-VR102 come in?
Made from rust-free cast aluminum with a baked-on powder-coat matte finish. Available finishes: Black, Brown, White. It’s repaintable with metal spray paint if you want a custom color.
Does this model include a damper and can it be removed?
Yes -the VR102 ships with pre-attached steel dampers at the back. Dampers are adjustable to control airflow and can be removed easily if required.
How high does the faceplate sit above the floor and will it fit under furniture?
The faceplate sits approximately 7 mm above the floor (plate thickness is 5 mm). It’s low-profile and fits under most furniture; avoid placing heavy sofa legs directly on it to prevent airflow restriction or damage.
How do I measure my vent to ensure the 4″ × 10″ model will fit?
Measure the inside of the duct opening (edge-to-edge) -that’s the nominal size (4″ × 10″). Note: faceplate outer dimensions are roughly 1″ larger per side. Use our “How to Measure” guide if unsure.
